Our client, one of the largest and longest-established multi-media publishers in Southern Africa has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dynamic, vibrant, ambitious and driven team leader to join their successful team in Johannesburg.

Candidates that meet the minimum requirement stipulated below are invited to apply:

• Matric or equivalent
• Experience leading a team of sales people in an advertising / publishing industry
• 5 years external sales experience
• A valid driver's license and own vehicle

Preference will be given to relevant candidates that demonstrate the following key Attributes, Competencies and Experience:

Attributes:

• Project an image of professionalism and reliability towards customers
• Target driven and be able to generate new business
• Ability to deliver competent and professional presentations to all levels.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Work well under pressure and able to manage time and workload

Competencies:

• Ability to present, negotiate and close deals to make or exceed sales targets
• Ability to recruit, train and grow sales team.
• Budgeting, strategizing and general management of the branch.
• Tertiary education
• Ability to manage a team and work under pressure.

Experience:

• Previous experience in the Media and Advertising industry
• Previous sales and management experience.
• Experience with successfully selling advertising space online and paper.

The successful incumbent will report to the Regional Sales Manager and represent the business as a highly professional and effective Team Leader, supporting a team of sales consultants and calling directly on and dealing with new clients to maintain and exceed sales targets as well as day to day management of the branch.
